The Stone Barn is a typical 16th c-17th c traditional Cumbria stone barn which has been carefully restored with traditional methods and renovated to the highest standard as a luxury holiday home. There are exposed stones throughout the barn as part of the feature, 2 Oak Kingpin Posts in the full height hall, with an additional log burner. All the ground floor of the barn is heated with underfloor heating.
On the outside, there are a number of large paved sitting area,through out the ground, as well as lawn and field with outdoor sitting and BBQ. There is a feature pond on the site. There is extensive hard standing parking on the site. Features & Facilities The barn has 7 ensuite bedrooms, which is divided into 2 parts; one part of the barn has 2 en-suite double bedrooms, it’s own open plan sitting & kitchen/dinning room, and, can be self contained. The other part is a 5 en-suite bedrooms barn; with one large family bedroom (a double bed, and a fun bunk bed), 3 bedrooms with double beds (2 on the ground floor) and another bedroom with king size bed. There is a large open plan sitting-dining-kitchen area on the ground floor which enables the group to dine together. Comfortable and yet very funky sofas surround the log burner in the sitting area. |
